Handmade Cards For Those You Love

Hello and welcome to Joy Love Cards. I am Sherri and my beautiful Aussie/Border Collie Joy loves to go to the post box and get the mail. We believe there is nothing like receiving a handmade card in your post box to brighten your day - to say you are loved, or express that you are thought about. In a world of fleeting email and texting, I still believe in the power of a real card or letter.

Cards were always a part of my life growing up. My mother was in charge of buying every card for everyone on both sides of the family. She used to haul my Sister and I around to the shops while she read card after card, choosing the perfect ones. I started making my own when I was little and always saved cards that were given to me. I am glad that I did because no one knew my Mom would be gone by the time I was 26 and my Sister only 23. To see her handwriting in those cards today is so important, because the memories live on, thinking about the card she chose, and what she wrote inside. Cards are little pieces of history. A text or email are fleeting, yes they have their own purpose, but cards, if you want them to be, are forever. I have been told by people who have bought my cards that they are a gift in and of themselves and that makes me happy. I hope your recipients will also reflect in the Joy that you felt when you chose the right card for them.
